Roof Top Loft Design in Berlin – Loft Gleimstrasse by GRAFT

Loft Gleimstrasse is the transformed room of a typical 19th-century building into “unfolded cocoon for an open mind”. Most rooms like kitchen, living room and bedroom are designed with openness in mind while storage areas, beds, sofas, closets and staircases are hidden in a sculptural wall construction. The kitchen is carved of a single block and is the heart of the loft. All surfaces in the kitchen, including furniture, walls, floor and ceiling, as well as all surfaces of the core, are covered with a high quality concrete plaster. All other surfaces are made with a sophisticated drywall technology. Folding windows and doors are used on the northern and southern facades which can be completely opened to extend the space with two 13-meters balconies. The whole loft design is the balance between the gallery and the studio. [GRAFT]

London based estate agents Urban Spaces specializes in lofts put on the market contemporary example of luxury London loft. 1118 sq.ft. loft located in Northern end of Wenlock Road, features double height ceilings, a master bedroom with dressing, en-suite and bath suite along with a chill out area and a large decked balcony. Like many contemporary designs white color dominate others colors in every loft’s part with windows (thanks to Apple). Double height ceilings makes the loft look much bigger than it is. Anyway like every luxury property it’s price isn’t cheap. £685,000 for 1118 sq. ft. sound quite impressive, right?

Contemporary Black & White Interior Design for a Girl

ERGES is an architecture and interior design studio based in Riga, Latvia. Their projects show that they specialize in modern and contemporary design. Here is one their recent work. In their own words:

The apartment belongs to a young and modern girl. The area of the object has been insufficient, so we have chosen to develop architectural, laconic and airy space of a studio apartment. White plays a general role, accenting lilac tones. A contrast of a color and texture creates graphics and volume. A fine bas-relief of a mythical warrior makes a great accent of a living room wall. Sleek floor surface and modern lacquered furniture combined with luxurious classic interior details create a refined atmosphere of a minimalistic ?boudoir? in the apartment. Bedroom continues overall style of the premises, but with softer and warmer materials. A special theme of the interior is implementing glass structures with LED lighting and glass products.
